You will have seen some new items on our buffet menus over the last few weeks. We always try to add and change items throughout the year to give our growing number of regular customers more variety. Two of the items we have added recently are Chicken Satay with peanut dip and Glen’s Chicken and Ham pies. We make the majority of our menu items ourselves but when we tasted Glen’s Chicken and Ham pies, we knew they had to go on the menu. Glen is the butcher we use to supply our meat and someone we know sources good quality ingredients which is so important to us. We serve them with a chutney that goes really well.

Taste Inc’s link with Richard III

Staff at the café on its opening dayIf you have been in Leicester over the last week you would not have been able to escape the excitement about the confirmed discovery of Richard III’s remains and plans for future re-burial. The world’s press and media have been in the city and the coverage has been amazing. Even Taste Inc are involved in a small way – How can that be?.

Well we are proud to have been asked to provide sandwiches, cakes and snacks for the new White Rose café that has opened up alongside the new Richard III exhibition that has been set up in the Guild Hall in the city centre. The aptly named café is in St Martin’s House, adjacent to the Guild Hall and will be providing refreshments for all the Richard III watchers visiting the exhibition, and judging by the long queues in the first few days of the exhibition opening the visitors will need refreshments. If you are going to the exhibition then pop in, even if you are not going to the exhibition the White Rose Café is a great place for a coffee, sandwich and cake.
